Inkwater Press is wickedly delighted to announce the impending publication of the literary noir Only Milo, by first-time author Barry Smith. Advance copies of the book, along with the author himself, will be available this weekend at BookExpo America, booth 4841.
In Only Milo, scheduled for publication in September, Milo is a seemingly unexceptional retiree who enjoys SPAM Reuben sandwiches and makes more on Social Security than he did delivering the Thrifty Nickel. But everything changes when an opportunistic moment turns him into an unseen force in the literary world-not to mention a killer.
Barry Smith, a University of Pennsylvania alum, is available for interviews, readings, and book signings. For more information, please contact Nicole@inkwaterpress.com or visit the Only Milo website.

Africa Trek author Alexandre Poussin appeared on CNN today in a news feature about the 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower.
Reporter Jim Bittermann interviewed Alexandre about his experiences climbing the tower – not the legal, customary way, but the daring and illegal way, scaling the outside of the tower to hang from its top girders.
“There are ultimate seconds in your lifetime that are engraved in your soul forever,” Alexandre said in the CNN report.
Alexandre, who lives in France, has climbed the Eiffel Tower 38 times, even posing for magazine pictures at the top. See Alexandre Poussin’s interview on CNN.

Congratulations to Steffan Postaer, whose novel, The Happy Soul Industry, won a silver medal for religious fiction in the 2009 IPPY Award contest for independently published books!
The contest awards creativity and originality in new books that represent the cutting edge of the independent publishing industry. Steffan’s novel, in which God hires an advertising agency to promote goodness, presents the ancient battle between good and evil in a wickedly modern way.
