Inkwater Press is giving away two advance copies of the darkly humorous Only Milo, due out in September.
In Only Milo, by Barry Smith, a struggling retiree finds himself surreptitiously ghostwriting for a bestselling author. When his fraud is nearly exposed on national television, Milo decides to take matters into his own hands, Dexter-style.
To win the chance to be the first Only Milo reviewer on Goodreads.com, sign in and enter the contest before July 10.

Stephanie Snowe, author of the tragically funny Meeting Mr. Wrong:The Romantic Misadventures of a Southern Belle, has been invited to rub elbows with more than 200 other authors at one of the nation’s largest literary festivals.
Stephanie will sign books and participate in a panel discussion at the Southern Festival of Books Oct. 9-11 in Nashville, Tenn. The annual festival hosts some of America’s foremost writers in fiction, history, mystery, food, biography, travel, poetry, and children’s literature.
If you’d like to congratulate Stephanie, stop by her blog, Jason. For the love of God, and say hi!

Hamburgers and frankfurters will dance off the page and onto the stage this September when a group of New York artists adapts the children’s book City of Hamburgers into a puppet show for neighborhood children in Brooklyn.
The free performance will debut Sept. 12 at a block party in Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Alphabet Arts, the nonprofit theater company creating the puppet show, hopes to tour the show to other local neighborhoods.
City of Hamburgers is a collaboration between “Simpsons” writer Mike Reiss and illustrator Xeth Feinberg, co-creators of Showtime’s hit cartoon “Queer Duck.” The book recently received a bronze “Book of the Year” award from ForeWord magazine.
