Inkwater Press recently released several non-fiction books on timely topics with universal themes. Read on for some of our Spring reading suggestions.
- Plucking the Eagle: Bringing Socialism to the United States: A Chronological History of How We Got to Where We Are, by C. Francis James. This is a fascinating book for those of you who want to understand the current economic crisis we are facing – and who doesn’t?
- Spanish Across America: A Ready-to-Use Resource, by Julie K. Jacobson, Ph.D. An immediately useful book, Spanish Across America provides phonetically transcribed phrases for use by professionals, homeowners and travelers.
- The Non-Believer’s Bible, by Franklin St. John. Non-believers are in the news now, and this book promulgates the theory that life would be simpler if religion were removed from the mix.
- New Day: Grief Recovery Workbook, by Dr. Carolyn M. DeLeon. The author of this practical book brings two competencies to the table: she is a well-known leader in the health care industry, and she has deep, personal experience facing devastating grief.
- A Bridge to China, by Julia S. Meek. In this book, the author opens the door to herself and her family, describing the pivotal and humorous problems we face as children and then as parents.
- Meeting Mr. Wrong: The Romantic Misadventures of a Southern Belle, by Stephanie Snowe. A book that will make you laugh out loud, Meeting Mr. Wrong is the story of an admirable woman who made lemonade from some of the worst lemons a single gal would ever not want to face.
Look for these books on Inkwaterbooks.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Amazon.com and at other popular retailers.
